About BlogTorque

About a year ago, the team at Askaprice.com decided that there wasn't a motoring news site that lived up to their (very high) expectations. So they decided to create one of their own and MotorTorque was born. 12 months on and MotorTorque is going from strength to strength bringing all the latest news and reviews and up to the minute, topical features.

Over the last few months, the editorial team decided that they wanted to have more of a say on some of the more topical stories. But they wanted to do this and keep MotorTorque an objective and factual site rather than flood it with their opinions. So rather than bring their opinions into MotorTorque they decided to set up a blog where they could rant and complain in peace.

In February 2006, MotorTorque's sister site, BlogTorque was launched and became very popular, very quickly and rather unexpectedly. So unexpectedly in fact that poor BlogTorque couldn't cope with the volume of traffic and had to go away and regroup - before coming back bigger, better and more fabulous than ever before.

So, BlogTorque is where we vent our spleens, have our say, criticise or praise, and what's more, we'd like you to join in too. Obviously if you want to make a comment, then please keep in mind that we have some younger readers who visit blogtorque and the editorial team reserves the right to edit out swearies from your posts, and/or anything that we don't feel is appropriate to the tone of MotorTorque.

If you post comments regularly enough, or have opinions that we particularly like, we might get in touch and ask you to become a regular contributor for BlogTorque - meaning your comments won't need to be moderated and you can just comment directly onto the site.

If you want to find out more about the Askprice/MotorTorque team, then take a look at the Engine Room category on BlogTorque. This is where you get the low-down on all the gossip and events happening in MotorTorque HQ, including who we are, what we do and what we're getting up to.

So please don't be shy, have your say. And if you want to get in touch, we love to hear from you, so email us at contact@blogtorque.co.uk.
